Graffiti (2017)
These two works were implemented in an abstract manner with the formal elements and had to be placed as a pair. They are constructed out of the photographs of graffiti walls found in London. I see graffiti as a pure creative energy of the city, being wild and chaotic sometimes. But also being a great inspirational source for the creatives and breathing in life into urban environments. I found it as a rich source of material to use in my constructed images, placing the photographs together as the elements of mosaic, or a sort of embroidered tapestry, as I make sure you could see through the images, revealing all the layers of the work. Here again the shape of the circle and 2/3 composition are present as a continuation of my methodology of constructing the images.
